Mini Review: Birmingham Ultramarine

And now for my mini review of Birmingham Ultramarine. This really is a nice blue. There's blue and then there's blah. This is blue. Might it be an everyday ink? Quite possibly were I not so head over heals in love with Graf von Faber-Castell Violet Blue. Honestly, I just love purples; that's really all there is to it. But purple aside, this blue really pops. I know the pop factor is lost digital reproduction, especially in one of Mrs. Duffy's famously bad pictures, but it really does. It reminds me of Diamine Majestic Blue. All it really wants is some water resistance but rarely can one have everything. As you can see there is some shading. It's a fairly saturated ink and I expect I will eventually empty the bottle.
